I am a recent graduate from Arizona State University, Mary Lou Fulton's teacher college, with my degree in Secondary Education with an English minor. I have always known that being a teacher was my future career.
Last year I was able to complete my internship within the 6th grade English class with Mrs. Amy Boven here at Imagine Prep, and because of this I thankfully accepted the position of 6th grade English teacher this year. During my internship time here at Imagine I was able to see first hand the connections and relationships that the students, parents, teachers, and administrators were able to establish within the building, and made me excited to become part of such an amazing community.
During my time at ASU I was able to participate in a study abroad trip in Harlaxton, England for seven weeks. This experience was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and one in which I was able to do two things I love the most; reading and traveling! Outside of my experiences, I was able to establish lasting friendships with classmates, professors, and even a few of the locals!
Outside of school I love spending time with my friends and family. I am the middle child of three girls, our family has gained additional members which include my brother-in-law, and a niece and a nephew. I love to cook and bake, read, and I am a huge movie buff!
I am excited to see where this year takes me as a teacher , and learn from my students during the process.
